We wish all of you that donate money or help us otherwise and all our friends a merry Christmas with a lot of gifts and peace of mind and a great, animal-suffering-free 2009! Thanks again for all your help and faith in us. We are happy that you found us. On the next pages we would like to show you under which terrible circumstances street animals have to live on Margarita Island. Margarita Island is an island in the Caribbean that belongs to Venezuela. It is a very popular holiday- and travel destination among Europeans. The situation for the animals on this beautiful island is desolate. The animals are categorized into two groups, “useful” or “useless”. Animals labeled useless are driven away from their families and end up in the trash or in the street where they starve to death or die of disease. 
In our daily battle for the survival of the animals- currently over 60 dogs and countless cats
are in our daily care- we depend on your help. Non-existing government help or interest and
ignorance among the population make for a hard days work.
We invite you to take a little trip through the unworthy living situation of these poor
animals and what we try to do about it on the next couple of pages. In the end what is left
is hope and good will. Only with some collaboration from your side we can keep our project
alive and growing and the hope alive. Even the smallest of collaborations can reach a long way.
Another way of helping us is becoming a member of our foundation, IslaStreetAnimals, together
